The data controller for personal data processed through CHOST.cz is:
Data collected: name, email address, message text.
Purpose: responding to your enquiry.
Legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention: messages are delivered by email and not stored in a database. Email correspondence is retained for up to 3 years.
Data collected: full name / company name, email address, billing address, company registration number (IČO/VAT), domain or server name, optional note.
Purpose: service provisioning, contract performance, invoicing.
Legal basis: contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); legal obligation for accounting records (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Retention: for the duration of the service agreement and as required by Czech accounting law (10 years from the end of the tax period).
Data collected: IP address, requested URL, HTTP status code, user-agent, timestamp.
Purpose: server security, DDoS detection, abuse prevention.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention: 10 days.

This site uses strictly necessary session cookies. We use no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking. The only exception is our own partner (affiliate) cookie chost_ref, stored for 90 days: it is a marketing cookie by nature, not strictly necessary. It is stored only when you yourself open a partner link in the form chost.cz/CODE, so that the referral can be credited to the partner and the referral discount granted to you; it is never set on a normal visit and you can delete it at any time. Alongside it we keep a server-side click record without direct identifiers (irreversible hash of the IP address and browser string, landing page, referring domain) on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the programme and preventing its abuse; such records are deleted after 12 months at the latest.
